Data and facts

I created this figure to show the relationship between species richness and human population density.  A negative linear slope indicating that as human population density increases, species richness tend to decrease.

Another figure i created to show the relationship between population growth and environmental degradation.  One has an impact on another. Increase in population, leads to an increase in degradation.
Figure 1- The non-linear relationship between land degradation and species extinction.

FIG. 2. Trade-off between species represented and total human population included in complementary reserve networks. Circles represent the minimum total population (as a percentage of the population in the set of 23 cells representing all 651 species) that is represented in selected sites (cells) while representing at least a given percentage of species. Triangles represent the variation in the number of sites selected in each case.

  1. This is a perfect place for you to go in more depth into what the figures really mean in terms of ecological consequence. This is the "meat" of your site. Make sure you have enough original synthesis to get the grade you want!
